BYOBucket Mt Washington Lunatique

This was a celebration of the last of the Lunatique hikes, the absence of rain, the appearance of the moon and last, but certainly not least, the birthday of our very own Moosefish! Many made it to the top sans headlamps thanks to a clear evening on a night with a crummy weather forecast (yay). The summit was a windy venue for our PB&Js and margarita bucket party but we managed to sing a rousing chorus of Happy Birthday & grab a group photo before we headed back down the mountain. Several of us donned microspikes for the descent (snowshoes would have been overkill) to handle the slick shallow snow on trail. We continued to eat, drink and be merry at the Pour House where we indulged in chocolate cupcake heaven thanks to Mrs. Moosefish’s baked contribution to the night. All in all, it was an evening to inspire some more training hikes before the official season kicks off next month… because I certainly wouldn’t want to miss spending a Thursday on a mountain top with this great gang! ~Jo

Thanks Honey
