Special Thanks to Guest Trip Reporter EWB:

The word prat means buttocks, bum, or backside. The British also use it to refer to a foolish person. Logically, then, the word Pratt, with its extra t, must mean lots of dumb butts. Which leads us to last Thursday. Not sensible enough to stay indoors where it is warm and dry, our mad gang of hardy prats braved the rain and wind and unpossibly hard navigation of the Talapus-Olallie basin to burn bums up the ridge to Pratt Mountain in record time in solid Juneuary conditions. After some hasty snacks and snorts (“Dang, Cletus, that toxic waste tastes like ‘nanners! We gonna be rich!”), layer changes, and a not-so-quick experiment with phone-pic technologies, the whole bunch reversed course and alternately slid and oozed themselves down to the Pour House, with a brief stop at the parking lot to replace more wet layers. Classic Pratt.
