EWB’s email announcing this evening’s theme was so great I’m subbing it for a TR.
Also, no one actually wrote a TR despite our pitiful begging, so there’s that too.

TNAB: Top Gunnington on Mt Washington
This week TNAB heads back in time while heading up Mt WA.  We’ll peel off a decade every 1,000′ until we’re standing in the middle of the 1980s comparing leg warmers, quoting Ghostbusters, and moonwalking together around the summit.  That’s right gang, it’s That 80’s Hike!

We’ll be going back to the future, parts I and II, to a simpler time when phones had lines, Commodores were 64, cars were K, Rubiks were cubed, Helens was whole (well, for nearly five months), and Betamax still had a chance.  It was the decade the Empire struck back, Ferris took a day off, Kevin got fancy-free, and Dr. Jones stopped ark raiderstemple doomers, and made a final crusade.  It’s also the decade when Rick meant it, Men worked it, Oates Hall’d it, and the bands were so cool you couldn’t say their names just once (I’m looking at you Duran Duran, Mr. Mister, and Lisa Lisa).

Weather’s a coin toss, so grab something to protect all that cotton, plus your essentials, park outside the gate, and let’s get this Karma Chamele-on the way by 6pm.

Also, in case you missed it, last week Pratt was indeed all that.  And a bag of chips.  (Jinx, buy me a Coke.)  Look ma, shiny happy people!

Hope to see you there!
