Special Thanks to Torch Team Trip Reporter Matt (Wxman):

A full moon in winter, means only one thing,
Hoards of Lunatiques hiking, then congregating.
Clear skies were delightful, the company… okay :-/;
You all know that I’m just kidding :-D , a Kendall-Knob Par-tay!
Some followed the road-less-traveled, some followed the ridge,
Both were fraught with breakable crust and the occasional tree-pit.

Teams climbed through the night, with increasing moonlight,
Once on on the flats, dawned our cold-weather hats.
The group shot amassed, Glogg shots were passed,
Then down-ridge we all headed, bypassing the road that some dreaded.

The first Lunatique of Fourteen is now in the books,
May not make it to Hyak Lake this year from the looks!
So do us a favor, and pray for some snow,
Then in a few weeks we’ll let you know;
Just where the Lunatiques next plan to go!
